Liquified Idealism

Aaaahh, friday. Usually marking the end of a more than likely tough school week, though now in the midst of summer it fails to hold the same bearing it would during the school year. Now it just feels like, well like any old day.

Today, after failing to wake up in time to go for a morning run, i ate some donuts and then we were off to the beach. Not a surfing day, or a boogie boarding day for that matter, as it was flat and glassy as far as the eye could see. It was a good frisbee day however, and there was also some very nice skim boarding to be done. We also went down to the rocks and tried catching some fish, and ended up catching a very large and creepy looking crab. A few more hours walking around and attempted boogie boarding, we were back home. Although we planned on going in the pool, Mother Nature was going to have none of that. So instead we watched Some Kind Of Wonderful, and then, because the sun had come out, we went to Tradition for Westfest. But when we got there we found it was cancelled. So we ate some pizza at Johnny V's and got ice cream instead.

Its 11:11, make a wish!

A Realization Of Idiocracy

Happy June 19th!!! Not that theres anything special about today, i just like to celebrate random days for no reason, keeps things more interesting. Sooooo, remember that list i made yesterday? Well, after today, i am still no closer than i was yesterday, in fact i may even be further away from my goal. Besides vacuuming my pool at around 11:30 this morning, nothing much else was done, once again thanks to Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005. It keeps sucking me in, making me play for hours on end.

So Saturday i vow not to play it at all. I vow for Saturday because tomorrow i will have absolutely no time to play it anyways. First, i hope (i say hope because my mind and my heart are on different airwaves in the morning) to go for a long running in the morning to get it out of the way. Then a trip to the beach with my fam and some friends of my family. Then after a jump in the pool and poolside grilling, we are going to go to west fest at Traditions because its just a hop skip and a jump from my house, so that should be fun.

Well, that was pretty much my day. I did go for a six miler today to clean out the tubes, but besides that there wasn't much else that was accomplished. Now i have to go do the dishes so my mom will stop yelling at me to get them done. I swear that sometimes she can just build herself up into this amazing cranky frenzy. Oh well.

G'night.

A New Day Dawns

Well....this is my second blog. I learned a lot while doing the first one, stuff like how to keep the habit, how make it work, and how to keep it interesting and not put every single boring detail from your day in (thanx kim, if your reading this). It ended with the school year, as i said adieu to my friends, teachers, and my sophomore year. There are the few good friends that i will be able to keep in contact with, but aside from that, a new door has been opened up as a window has been closed.

Thus far my summer has been far away from anything that might in any way resemble productive. Less than 20% of my days have been spent predominantly outside, or doing work, which is a major bummer. But i am making an oath to myself right now, im going to clean up my act and get started with what i wanna do this summer. First off, i wanna read and understand the scarlet letter. Some other not as important tasks are:
--get in shape for xc
--find a job
--get service hours
--find out what events i would like to do if i joined TSA

I always like to make lists, because they make everything seem so manageable. See, i have this annoying thing that i do where if i have something that must be done, like hw, my mind buzzes all the time to let me know that im slacking off and not doing something im supposed to be doing. Making lists always helps with that.

With these new goals set in mind, i hope i will be able to accomplish them. And now for the end of this once rinky dinky little post that turned into a marathon of jumbled thoughts and ideas.
